Further Reflection:

1) Can you think of a time when you found it difficult to love someone who has wronged you? How did you handle it, and how might this passage challenge you in that situation?

2) How can we cultivate a heart of love that extends even to those who persecute us or speak against us? In light of this passage, what areas of your heart do you feel God might be calling you to transform (revenge, bitterness, grudges)?

3) Read and reflect on 1 Peter 3:8-18. How can you strive to be “zealous for what is good?” As God has pursued and loved us, who were enemies, in Christ, how can you do likewise? Pray for specific people and opportunities to share the love of Jesus.
