Further Reflection
1) Do you recognize any “bad fruits” of anger in your life? What do you believe are the “roots” of those behaviors?
2) How do Jesus’ words challenge our priorities in our relationships? Is there someone you need to reconcile with? What steps can you take today to initiate healing in that relationship?
3) How can delaying reconciliation (or transparency) affect both our spiritual life, personal relationships, and corporate life in the Body of Christ? What practical steps can you take to avoid procrastination in resolving conflict?
4) Take time to meditate on 2 Corinthians 5:11-21. Praise God that He has reconciled us to Himself in Christ. He has now called us into the “ministry of reconciliation”, making us ambassadors and heralds of the message of the Gospel. Pray for God’s strengthening in this identity and opportunities to appeal to others.
